What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Assistant (PTOC) position at The Mission Essential Group, LLC?
The Travel Assistant provides general day-to-day travel coordination support to all representatives within MEG. Maintains company relationships with external travel providers and is the liaison with travel booking agencies to ensure seamless and prompt traveler customer service and reports to the Logistics Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Augments Travel Department as required. Books flights, lodging and rental cars as required. Maintains the Travel Authorization Number log.
- Works and manages data within Scope, Concur, and other related software.
- Book flights and make other travel arrangements for US and international travelers.
- Coordinate staff Emergency travel, hotel and rental vehicle arrangements for Mission Essential staff and Linguists after normal hours of operation, evenings, and weekends.
- Manage Expert Care Program to monitor travelers' locations and near real-time flight status. Communicate with travelers and send travel alerts as received.
- Manage the Travel Authorization Number (TAN) Log entries.
- Ensure all travel arrangements comply with current compliance rules, particularly the Fly America Act
- Perform duties as required and performs other duties as assigned.

- Responsible for providing excellent Customer Service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while ensuring compliance to procedures.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate flexibility and initiative to solve dynamic travel problems.
- Attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication is necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available for both in-office and remote working, within the Columbus, Ohio area.

- High school diploma
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) is required.
- Must demonstrate strong customer service skills and experience.

- 3-5 years of work experience with demonstrated reliability.
