Job Title: Part-Time Child Care Worker (Infants 6 Weeks – 1 Year)
Location: Residential Shelter for Women and Children
Schedule:
- Sunday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Monday – Thursday: 2:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Position Overview:
Mission of Yahweh is a faith-based residential shelter dedicated to serving women and children experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Child Care Worker to provide attentive care to infants aged 6 weeks to 1 year in a nurturing and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for infants.
- Maintain a structured and calm environment for feeding, diapering, and rest.
- Engage infants in age-appropriate activities that support their cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
- Ensure a clean and sanitary environment, following all health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with mothers, guardians, and shelter staff regarding infants’ well-being.
- Uphold the mission and values of the organization by fostering a faith-based atmosphere of care and respect.
Qualifications:
- Experience in infant care, preferably in a child care or shelter setting.
- Ability to provide a nurturing and patient approach to infants in a trauma-informed setting.
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
- Alignment with the faith-based mission of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in early childhood education or related field.
- Experience working with families experiencing homelessness or crisis situations.
