MITRE's Data Engineering & Knowledge Management Department is seeking a hands-on team leader who is passionate about data to re-imagine ways to make our structured and unstructured data available for reuse across MITRE systems on-prem and in cloud environments. Successful candidates will be highly motivated and able to share their experience in cloud data design, along with their knowledge of database technologies and data virtualization platforms. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our data systems and driving our data strategy forward.
Job Highlights
- Manage on-premises and cloud databases and, data virtualization platforms.
- Lead and mentor a team of data professionals, providing guidance, technical oversight, and training as needed.
- Support and facilitate ongoing efforts to migrate on-premises workloads and data to cloud platforms.
- Develop and implement data virtualization strategies to improve data access, integration, and aggregation.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our data.
- Maintain audit compliance with InfoSec, DFARS, CMMC, and other business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design enterprise solutions and resolve data-related issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and changes in cloud platform offerings, database technologies, data virtualization and related fields.
