The Strategic Integration Department (N924) is seeking a Principal Task Leader for the Directorate of Strategic Operational Planning within the counterterrorism work program. The Strategic Integration Department manages, guides, and directs technical and domain-specific work focused on enhancing the nation’s counterterrorism efforts at the strategic level and providing enterprise-wide solutions to counterterrorism challenges. The work requires operating at the senior-levels of government, including routine coordination and collaboration with Agencies and Departments with counterterrorism equities. Our efforts directly support strategy development and policymaking, and requires a comprehensive understanding of the Intelligence Community, its partners, and stakeholders operating in the counterterrorism space.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a motivated and creative Task Leader with proven experience in project management, technical and thought leadership, customer relations, and team development. As a Principal Task Leader, you will be accountable for the overall direction, work shaping, resource planning, programmatic support, budgetary development, internal and external coordination, execution, and outcomes of MITRE work for the sponsor’s evolving counterterrorism (CT) mission. The primary activities of the team are policy and strategy development, assessments of resourcing impacts to CT / CN missions, policy and strategy assessments, and mission management support services to NCTC while working across the entire Interagency.
The successful candidate will be a leader who would thrive working as part of a multi-disciplinary MITRE team that helps its government sponsors by bringing data-driven solutions and structured approaches to an often ambiguous and ever-changing mission space. The ideal candidate would serve as an objective, informed partner for government leaders who rely on MITRE’s independent insight and expertise to address the Government’s greatest CT/CN challenges from a strategic perspective. This position is a full-time position, that supports our government sponsor.
Basic Qualifications
- Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
- Understand the sponsor’s desired mission outcomes and participate in future work-shaping
- Work with the NCTC project leadership team to develop and execute the sponsor engagement strategy
- Develop and maintain an executable project plan, and execute the plan within allocation
- Ability to work with team and to provide innovative solutions to counterterrorism related problems
- Applicants must have a Top-Secret SCI security clearance with a CI Polygraph.
- This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in International Studies, Strategic Intelligence, National Security or related field of study
- Experience developing policy, integrated action or implementation plans, intelligence strategies, or resourcing and budgetary impact reviews.
