MITRE's Classified Enterprise Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support multiple environments in Bedford MA. The Senior Network Engineer will oversee the implementation, security, and maintenance of our network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, protocols, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale and air-gapped networks and a proven track record of optimizing network performance. Candidate must be able to speak comfortably from a technical perspective with clients, our partners, and within the team.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Implement network solutions to support business requirements and strategic goals.
- Manage and optimize the performance of the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Implement and manage network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Assist Network Lead with mentoring and guidance to junior network engineers and IT staff.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to recommend and implement improvements.
