Department Summary :
MITRE's L142, Simulation, Experimentation, and Gaming Department provides a dynamic and agile workforce to design, develop, and employ simulation and game-based solutions to address our sponsors operational, engineering, and acquisition challenges. We offer a range of services within this domain from consultation, to designing and running simulation and / or game-based experiments in close collaboration with our sponsors, to developing new tools or integrated engineering environments as part of a system, digital, or digital twin engineering environment. L142 proudly serves all of the MITRE FFRDCs and we have an active and thriving research and development program within the organization.
Job Description :
- Lead multidisciplinary wargaming projects to include wargaming methodology definition, team selection, and execution planning, management, and product delivery
- Work directly with sponsor senior leaders to define wargaming requirements and recommend appropriate wargaming methodology to employ (table-top, workshop, board, digitized game, and / or computer simulation environment) for the project
- Lead the sponsor engagement across the wargaming project
- Design and develop wargames (across the set of wargaming methodologies identified above) for tactical, operational, and strategic military and non-military (e.g., diplomatic, information, economic, disaster response, etc.)) domains based on sponsor requirements
- Lead, conduct, and participate in pre-exercise, execution, and post-execution activities for wargaming methodologies specified above
