Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent coordinates with external contractors, construction managers and designers, as well as maintenance and Tribal/MTGA management internally, to ensure that construction and facility changes are documented and submitted in accordance with CAD/GIS Document Control department’s Policies & Procedures. Incumbent also manages the Adept Document Database; reviews and accepts documentation for permanent archiving and use with CAD and GIS Applications.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and understanding of infrastructure components including civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing
- Knowledge of the construction process from planning through close-out with emphasis on construction document management
- Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans, and compare them to the built environment
- Ability to develop spreadsheets and work with databases; Excel & Access proficiency
- Report writing skills
- Knowledge and experience with Building Information Modeling or similar program
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business or related field
- Two (2) years’ experience in GIS analysis or database management
- Four (4) years’ experience in construction management, construction document control or architectural design
- Four (4) years’ experience in architectural, mechanical or civil drafting using AutoCAD or Revit
