Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent in this position performs various Accounting and Financial functions from initial entry to financial statement preparation for the Tribe and its entities; also responsible for various analytical functions including Budgets and Analysis. The incumbent also assists the Manager of Accounting as liaison on enterprise system matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- Intermediate skills in MS Office applications Word and Excel, or similar
- Familiarity with preparation of financial statements
- Strong financial analysis knowledge
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload
- Ability to maintain detailed accounting records
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting systems, Microsoft D365 or similar
~AND~
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and three (3) years professional experience in Accounting or Finance
- Two (2) years of experience in monthly closing of entities’ books including preparation of income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and financial analysis
- Experience in using accounting principles and auditing concepts
- Experience in the preparation of revenue and expense forecasting
- Experience in reporting and analyzing financial and budgetary statistical data including analyzing data with multiple cost centers
- Experience in cash flow projections and forecasting
