Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent performs GIS data collection and development, spatial analysis, statistical analysis, and provides support for a variety of government and business uses. Incumbent also supports other staff members with their GIS needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to solve problems using ESRI GIS software and tools
- Familiarity with Coordinate System Conversion & Transformation
- Familiarity with GPS Technology
- Ability to develop spreadsheets and work with databases
- Excel & Access proficiency
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Strong written, oral, and cartographic communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor’s Degree in GIS Technology, Geography or related degree
- Five (5) years of experience in Geographic Information Systems technology
- Experience working with the ESRI Software Platform (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS)
- Experience with data editing in a multi-user versioned Enterprise Geodatabase.
- Experience with Relational Databases (Microsoft SQL Server)
- Experience with AutoCAD Software
- Experience with conversion of data between GIS and AutoCAD
