Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent assists in developing and executing comprehensive audit programs that are responsive to the operational, financial, regulatory, and internal control risks for Mohegan Pennsylvania; assists in the coordination, execution, monitoring and reporting of compliance with GAAP, GAAS, statutes, regulations, policies, and the provisions of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability for gather and analyze accurate and relevant audit information and to compose clear and concise audit reports
- Ability to evaluate accounting and management operations systems for accuracy and legal conformance
- Ability to monitor and develop strategies and procedures in compliance with IIA standards and drive improvements with audit efficiency
- Ability to work with date analytics software (for example IDEA, ACL, or Tableau)
- Well-developed analytic, qualitative, and quantitative reasoning skills
- Ability to develop and lead a team of internal auditors
- Ability to deliver assignments on time and by required deadline dates
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and ability to use a computer
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Business Administration, Finance and Accounting
- CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE (or other related certifications) is required and must be maintained
- Minimum of eight (8) years of Internal Audit experience, including work in the Professional Services sector
- Experience with IDEA or other data analytics software
- Proven experience with the integrated audit approach
- Experience in collaborating with all levels of an organization’s management team
- Must be able to be licensed by the State of Connecticut, Division of Special Revenue and State of Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and other jurisdictions, as required.
- No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity.
