Summary of Job Description:
Incumbent is responsible for managing the Tribal Government IT policies relating to compliance frameworks including applicable systems, tools, policies and procedures. Responsible for risk identification gaps and deficiencies, control design and evaluation, and completion of risk and control self-assessments. Also, responsible for writing policies and tracking risk and compliance across the IT infrastructure and applicable portfolio. Works with internal business and IT teams to advise and mitigate IT risks and controls.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with compliance frameworks, such as HIPAA or CIS-18, with a proven ability to evaluate and recommend approaches to mitigating risk with best controls
- Ability to compose and produce technical reports, documents, and related compliance and regulation materials
- Strong technical writing skills, with experience writing policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of project management processes and their implementation
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively to various levels of stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with data visualization tools similar to PowerBI
- Ability to observe, measure, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives and direct the development and implementation of solutions
- Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Seven (7) years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience
- Three (3) years’ experience as a compliance officer or similar position managing adherence to frameworks such as HIPAA or CIS-18
- Three (3) years’ project management experience
