We are seeking a Data Scientist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business team. This role requires a hybrid schedule with their Boulder, CO office.
As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in helping define and grow processes, methods, and outcomes for using data science to inform excellent user experience. You will play a pivotal role of working with a cross functional group of leaders and individuals in evolving an experimentation strategy for company solutions. You will work closely with research leadership and senior contributors to use converging evidence from data science and user research to influence business and product strategy as well as improvements to existing products.

You have the curiosity and self-motivation to continuously learn new techniques and tools to extract value from data. Responsibilities
- Lead efforts to define processes, methods and outcomes for using data science to inform excellent user experience.
- Work with cross functional leaders and individuals to evolve experimentation strategy.
- Identify opportunities to use existing data from multiple sources to inform strategy, product improvements and experimentation opportunities.
- Partner with leadership to determine an optimal resourcing plan for a data science team focused on experimentation and user experience.
- Develop models of usage and user behavior through analysis of complex data from a variety of sources.
- Analyze complex data from a variety of sources?using diverse set of tools and techniques.?
- Play a role in developing and delivering key UX metrics and partner with research to provide actionable insights to improve the user experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, applied math, physics, engineering, statistics, economics or related field. 2 years of industry experience in Data Science and Analytics. 2 years of experience in data querying languages (e.g. SQL) and scripting languages (e.g. Python)
- Demonstrated experience in designing experiments using various forms of data. A strong background in statistical modeling and regression analysis. Expertise in data cleaning, transformation, and visualization.
- Master’s degree or PhD in Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Applied Math, Physics, Computer Science or other related field. 2 years of industry experience in analytics focused on enhancing products and driving innovation. Ability to communicate analytics results and data storytelling to influence teams and leaders. Creative thinker able to apply first-principles reasoning to solve complex problems.
