We are seeking a contract Senior Accounting Analyst to help support our Customer's business needs.This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in Hermitage, TN.
This role is responsible for developing, preparing and delivering complete and accurate financial statements for multiple Hybrid Business units. He or She will perform accounting and analysis functions and coordinate the period-end and year-end closes for Hybrid Businesses. Preparing support for JEs and regular accounting reconciliations are a key component to the close process.
Expat and Project Accounting (EPA) provides financial services related to personnel working across borders including secondments of US personnel to host member firms (outside the US) and US engagement cross border project travel. A broad range of financial services are provided including budgeting, compensation delivery, tax analysis, reporting and billing. EPA is currently engaged in a large scale modernization project which is based on the implementation of Equus platform. This role would assist in various areas related to this project including participation in UAT activities and drafting user guides. In addition to providing support for Equus implementation, the role would assist with current state processes which include running/preparing reports, analyzing data, and reviewing reconciliations.

Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing financial and account information. Review financial results with senior leadership.
- Perform period-end and year-end close processes, book journal entries and provide appropriate detail level review and analysis.
- Analyze financial information; Provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts including deferred revenues, commissions, etc.
- Calculate and record Capitalize Software in accordance with GAAP
- Identify, resolve and report accounting discrepancies and anomalies
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience handling month end close and financial reporting responsibilities
- SAP experience
- Technical writing experience
- Public accounting experience a plus, CPA or CPA candidate.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work with deadlines.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
