Sr. Data Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Management team, leveraging Informatica and SQL to process and store data. In this role, you will analyze, design, develop, and administer ETL pipelines while implementing best practices to optimize data workflows. You will also ensure compliance with data governance and documentation standards to maintain operational efficiency.

• Technical Leadership: Lead IT initiatives, oversee project lifecycles, and serve as a key liaison between business and technical teams.
• Data Engineering & ETL Development: Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines of medium-to-high complexity using Informatica, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance policies, security standards, and compliance protocols.
• Strategic Impact: Analyze industry and technology trends to assess their impact and recommend technology advancements aligned with business objectives.
• Business Collaboration: Partner with application and infrastructure teams to develop roadmaps ensuring system integrity and technical currency.
• Coaching & Mentorship: Provide guidance on data best practices, technology, and career development to IT staff.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement automated testing practices to validate data integrity and ETL processes.
• Project Management: Lead small-scale data projects, keeping stakeholders informed on deliverables, progress, and timelines.

• Education & Experience:
  
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3 years of experience in financial services preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, and data handling methodologies.
  
  
• Technical Proficiency:
  
  
  
  • Expertise in Informatica, SQL, and Azure Data Factory.
  • Experience with Power BI, data visualization, and master data management (MDM).
  • Strong understanding of data governance and best practices.
  • Familiarity with agile SDLC methodologies (2 years of experience).
