Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Substitute, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment, implementing lesson plans, and ensuring the safety and well-being of students in the absence of the regular teacher. This role is essential in providing continuity in education and supporting the development of young learners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Communicate clearly with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress.
- Supervise students during various activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
- Accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports childhood development.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including attendance tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong skills in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Ability to educate and communicate effectively with children aged preschool through early elementary.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a Montessori preschool is a plus.
