What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - Undergraduate (Spokane) position at The Moody Bible Institute?
Provide instruction in assigned class(es) in accordance with applicable administrative policies and procedures, established instructional models, and course syllabus/syllabi as established by the Moody Bible Institute. Implement appropriate strategies to assist students to achieve their academic potential and provide superior student service.
Faculty are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, participate in enriching the learning community and engage in formal and informal involvement in the student’s whole-life-training. The individual is responsible to continue to develop spiritually and professionally and fulfill all policies and procedures consistent with this position.
Essential Functions

- Prepare syllabi and teach assigned courses.
- Determine instructional outcomes appropriate to each course taught and assess student academic achievement related to those outcomes. Such outcomes are to be consistent with departmental mission and objectives.
- In order to further the sense of community, shared values and experiences, each member of faculty should eat meals with students in the Student Dining Room and engage in informal exchange of ideas with students as opportunity permits.
- To fulfill policies, responsibilities and special obligations as outlined in the Employee Information Guide and faculty manual.

Minimum Requirements
- An earned, and completed Master’s degree from an accredited institution required in applicable field in area of study.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and/or oral) demonstrating collegiality and encouragement to students and colleagues
- Knowledge of school policies and procedures.
- Ability to plan and organize work.
- A growing and deepening Christian faith and a commitment to advancing the cause of Christ
- Agreement with the Moody Bible Institute’s doctrinal statement
- Adhere to the employee standards established by the Moody Bible Institute

Work Environment/Conditions
This job operates in a home office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
This is a part-time professional position: Hours vary. No travel is expected for this position.
