The CEO is responsible for all Agency operations to manage and lead the Organization and staff to fulfill the Agency’s mission.
Key responsibilities include:
- Promoting the mission of the Agency in the community and enhancing the public image of the clients served
- Researching and designing effective service delivery models and securing the necessary resources to empower and support individuals with developmental disabilities, acquired brain disorders, the elderly and their families
- Developing and fostering partnerships with other service providers
- Identifying new funding sources that are appropriate to carry out the mission of the Organization, including private and public grants and fund-raising activities
- Working closely with the Senior Leadership team and Board of Directors in strategic planning for the Organization and ensuring the Organization achieves the goals
- Identifying and initiating change in the Organization’s direction to respond to changing conditions
- Managing and maintaining the financial health of the Organization
- Designing and implementing The Moore Center’s public relations/fundraising activities
- Recruiting, retaining, motivating and managing senior/executive staff. Providing organizational and team leadership, management and support to staff through the appropriate executive management staff
- Developing and maintaining a network in and around the area in support of the Organization’s operating objectives
- Works with the Legislature and Advocacy Groups to advocate for public policy to advance the mission of the Organization

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business, Human Services or related field
- Significant experience in leadership roles with at least five years in administration, planning, and business management of human services programs related to services for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and acquired brain disorders
- Experience in local, state and federal funding
- Demonstrated ability to develop new funding sources
- Extensive experience working with Boards of Directors, Advocacy groups and other service providers
- Proof of auto liability insurance on all personal vehicles used for Agency business
- Demonstrated financial acumen and effective fiscal management
- A dynamic and innovative leader
- An enthusiastic supporter of The Moore Center’s mission and values
- Comfortable developing new and fostering relationships in the community
- Able to encourage, motivate and persuade people and has excellent oral and written communication skills
