Job Summary: The Front of House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the storefront and food service areas, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing inquiries, tours, and events. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to maintain smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.
Duties & Responsibilities
Storefront Management:
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
- Manage the marketing of catering services and all other meals or events.
- Handle all phone, email, and social media inquiries.
- Conduct facility tours for potential clients and visitors.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the building.
Food Service Operations:
- Oversee the service of all catered meals and events.
- Create and update event orders and schedules.
- Coordinate the delivery of all meals to clients and events.
- Assist the Chef with food preparation as needed.
- Provide training and mentorship to students and volunteers.
Administrative & Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver invoices for payment in an efficient and timely manner.
- Operate and maintain the food truck as needed.
- Schedule regular meetings with leadership to discuss operations and potential business opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
- Oversee inventory management for Front of House materials and supplies.
- Manage the booking system, ensuring guest information is accurately recorded and maintained.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in scheduling, event planning, and inventory management.
- Ability to operate food service equipment and maintain health standards.
- Experience in marketing and social media management is a plus.
- Leadership and team mentorship experience preferred.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, event management, or customer service required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Occasional travel for events or food truck operation.
