Job Summary: The Warehouse Technician at The Moore Wright Group is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing goods. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Warehouse Technician will support inventory management, maintain a safe working environment, and assist with community response and program distribution efforts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and distribute goods according to organizational needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse spaces.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
Inventory Management:
- Track and update inventory records accurately.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
- Assist in managing warehouse supplies and equipment.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Report any safety hazards, incidents, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Support and Collaboration:
- Assist in warehouse training programs and mentorship for new employees.
- Collaborate with the community response and programs teams for distributions.
- Support other departments as needed for special projects and events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (certifications preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, and moving materials.
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
