The Moorings at Lewes is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team!
The Moorings is a Springpoint Senior Living Community located in Lewes, Delaware. We are currently in search of a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a valued member of our team, the Maintenance Technicians play a vital role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents and staff.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance duties, including equipment cleaning, apartment turnover (post-vacancy or demolition), light bulb and filter replacements.
Utilize an electronic work order system for task management and tracking.
Assist with material handling for renovation and remodeling projects; report inventory needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, including time and scope, through work order forms.
Coordinate effectively with vendors and contractors performing services at the facility.
Provide courteous assistance to residents, co-workers, and visitors; represent the facility in a professional manner.
Respond to emergency calls outside regular work hours as needed.
Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely, effective, and cost-efficient manner.
Submit completed work orders at the end of each day.
Leave detailed communication in apartments when residents are not present during service.
Foster positive, professional relationships with staff, residents, and guests.
Adhere to all fire and safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience required.
