Moorings Park is looking for an Executive Director of Moorings Park Foundation. The Executive Director of Moorings Park Foundation, in collaboration with the Foundation Board of Directors, CEO and other Moorings Park leadership, will oversee the development, execution and management of strategies aimed at enhancing, diversifying, and sustaining philanthropic support for the Moorings Park Foundation. This role is responsible for managing all fundraising campaigns and events, marketing and communication efforts, and grant initiatives. The Executive Director will also focus on securing financial contributions from various sources and ensuring compliance with all related reporting requirements


Contributions:

  • Working with the Foundation Board of Directors and Moorings Park leadership, develop and implement long- and short-term fundraising strategies and campaigns to support the strategic plan in support of current and future needs.
  • Analyze current annual fundraising efforts and provide focus and direction for maintaining and growing contribution support. Provides metrics as directed by the CEO, CFO and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and manage a development plan to include gift levels, applicable capital campaigns, online giving, donor recognition, and engagement programs.
  • Develop and implement a systemic approach to donor lists and prospecting, cultivation, engagement, and recognition opportunities for all donors.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective donors and funders.
  • Secure financial support from individuals including major donors, foundations, donor advised fund managers, and corporations.
  • Supports Moorings Park leadership and Board members in their efforts to secure financial support for the Foundation.
  • In collaboration with the Foundation Board of Directors and Moorings Park leadership conceptualize, plan, and manage fundraising activities including fundraising events and presentations to individuals.
  • Generate development content and materials such as presentations, web-based content, press releases, and annual reports.
  • Oversee the development and execution of grant awards, scholarship awards, and reports.
  • In compliance with Moorings Park policy and IRS regulations, support the Gift Agreement process to include pledged gifts, major restricted gifts, and gifts including naming opportunities.
  • Working with the Board and Moorings Park leadership to develop and maintain the Foundation’s budget and financial plans, expenditure authorization, and audits.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintain knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.


Job Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language required
  • During emergencies or natural disasters may be required to be on duty for the duration of the disaster.
  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, communication, business, or related field and/ or a current CFRE certification.
  • Five years’ applicable experience required.
