What You'll Do
Essential Job Functions:
Morgan is looking for a collaborative finance professional who has strong attention to detail that is seeking to be an integral member of a small corporate finance team. This member will help to support the needs of our Executive leadership and most other business units across a leading, vertically-integrated multi-family development company. This individual will be expected to balance a variety of responsibilities with an emphasis on delivering company forecasts and analyses on a regular basis. This position has strong visibility within the company through hands-on experience working across all regions and business units as well as regular interaction with leadership. The individual most suited for this position will be detail oriented with high integrity and strong analytical skills, while also enjoying collaborating with others.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support leadership in financial planning and analyses (FP&A) across the company, including building and maintaining financial forecasts, budgets and other reports as necessary
- Refine and update forecasts to reflect changes in the business and market environment
- Collaborate with various business units to prepare timely and accurate reports
- Create presentation materials to provide easily digestible and reliable information and KPIs to executives, developers, construction, and property management
- Actively participate in the preparation and presentation of materials to the Executive Committee and other leaders at the company
- Improve internal processes across regions, business units and departments
- Team player willing to wear many hats, think independently and embrace a lean, entrepreneurial culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- Advanced Excel modeling and analytical skills; proficient in PowerPoint
- Enjoys taking the lead on specific projects or tasks
- Ability to work in both small and large team settings and across business units & departments
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Self-starter with high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Investment banking experience is desirable, but not required
- 1-3 years of previous work experience is ideal
- This person will primarily work from the Houston corporate office near Greenway Plaza, with flexibility to work remotely on occasion
