The Morrison Communities is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our residents. We are seeking a Food Services Coordinator to oversee food service operations at The Morrison Communities, where you will manage meal preparation, delivery, and staff across both the Summit and Morrison facilities.
Position Summary:
The Food Services Coordinator will oversee the centralized kitchen operation, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and delivered to both Summit and Morrison. This includes supervising kitchen staff, managing logistics, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The role also involves covering shifts if staffing issues arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Manage kitchen staff and ensure smooth food service operations at both Summit and Morrison.
- Centralized Kitchen Operations: Oversee meal preparation and delivery logistics from the Summit kitchen to Morrison.
- Meal Coordination: Ensure timely delivery and maintain food safety during transport. Oversee meal quality, temperature, and dietary compliance.
- Staff Training & Development: Train kitchen staff on new processes and provide ongoing support. Ensure staff at Morrison are reassigned as needed.
- Shift Coverage: Cover shifts if needed due to staff callouts or shortages.
- Food Safety & Compliance: Maintain food safety standards, ensuring adherence to regulations and temperature monitoring.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage food service budgets, focusing on cost-efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Resident Interaction: Respond to resident dining concerns and preferences. Collaborate with other departments for seamless service.
Qualifications:
- Degree in culinary arts, food service management, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of food service management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and senior living dining services.
- ServSafe certification (preferred).
