Mixer - 1st Shift 7am to 3:30pm - $24.16 per hour

As a mixer you will be required to cut in bags into mixer, operate a mixer, pre-weigh ingredients for each batch as instructed by the mixer controller. You will also be required to dump trash at the end of the shift and make sure your mixing department is clean prior to the next shift coming onboard.

*Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm-6am
*Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work

Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Help prepare various dry mix products for packaging and sale
•    Read/interpret mixing schedule
•    Operate forklift to transport and stack ingredients
•    Weigh-up ingredients per batch sheet and mix schedule
•    Place ingredients in mixer and prepare mix/clean mixers
•    Provide QA with product samples
•    Maintain clean work environment
•    Document mixing activity
•    Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Work involves daily exposure to elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards
• Regular exposure to food products and food allergens
• Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity and reaching; kneeling, crawling and twisting to inspect equipment. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with employees as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette

* Able to work in fast paced, high pressure environment

* Able to physically lift 10kg weight consistently

* Able to work in a warm environment (uniform, safety and work attire provided by employer)

* Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, , freezer, and/or noise.

* Work environment involves regular exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards.
