Process Control Specialist
Where will you work: New Wales, FL (3095 Highway 640 Mulberry, FL 33860)
The Process Control Specialist is responsible for providing programming, support and technical assistance in automation hardware and software.
What will you do?
- Stay current in latest technologies in automation hardware and software, process controls, process simulation and networking.
- Develop and maintain automation documents.
- Support plant automation projects including training, troubleshooting, and tuning of manufacturing plant process controls systems.
- Provide technical leadership in developing automation standards, software and hardware infrastructure and system optimization for plant process control systems and control schemes.
What do you need for this role?
- High School/GED required with 10 - 15 years of experience
OR
- Associate degree with 5 -8 years of related experience
- 1 years of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.
- Experience with process control / process automation programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience in electrical/controls/automation/instrumentation.
- Proven understanding of PLC hardware and programming is required; Allen Bradley and Emerson DeltaV knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs); FactoryTalkView SE/ME, DeltaV.
- Ability to read and understand schematics (Electrical, Instrumentation, P&ID, Single Line etc.).
- Familiarity with OSIsoft PI historian or equivalent historian database experience
- Functional knowledge of Proportional, Integral, Derivative (PID) control
- Proficiency with electrical systems, instrumentation, and troubleshooting process issues
- Basic database & computer programming knowledge
- Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting (EtherNet/IP and ControlNet)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and complete work assigned with minimal supervision
- Capable of working collaboratively with all levels of the organization and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
