The sustaining capital project engineer will manage the time sensitive and high-ranking projects in the department. Tasks relating to this job include preliminary or detailed project scoping, scheduling, cost estimating, procurement, supervision, and construction management. The engineer will also support production and maintenance by working with the Riverview facility to achieve the strategic priorities of Mosaic. Project scopes will include a lead or supporting role with equipment design then fabrication on motors, electrical systems, rotary vessels, and tanks.

Project Engineer II, III, Sr

What You’ll Do
- Ensure projects follow Mosaic’s CPM Road Map from engineering design through construction and commissioning.
- Liaise with stakeholders to meet objectives for EHS compliance, quality, cost, and schedule.
- Present weekly/monthly project status reports to leadership, covering progress, productivity, cost, and schedule.
- Collaborate with Procurement to develop scopes of work, prepare RFQs/RFPs, evaluate bids, and manage invoices.
- Lead project safety initiatives to support an injury-free workplace.
- Deliver projects safely with zero injuries expected in all phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, civil and electrical engineering fields
- 2 years of project management experience working on medium to large scale) capital projects in industrial plants
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Project, Primavera P6, and/or Maximo
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects involving Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management phases of mechanical projects at industrial plants
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage strategic priorities by collaborating with multiple teams, both internal and external to execute projects
- Broad engineering and construction knowledge in all disciplines
- Ability to manage projects independently
- Experience delivering projects in an operating plant or brownfield environment
- Experience in case management, risk analysis and integration of safety in design, construction and future use of projects
- 2 years of Engineering experience
- Demonstrated project management experience with strong problem solving skills
- 4 years of Engineering experience
- 8 years of Engineering experience
