TRAINING SUPERVISOR (Mine)
We are currently seeking a Mine Training Supervisor (Production) for our Carlsbad, New Mexico location. This role is responsible for creating, implementing, and overseeing and training employees to be safe during day-to-day during operations of the mine. Assist on the implementation of safety projects, process improvements or capital projects as needed. Assist with employee training and qualifications. Responsible for conducting audits and inspections. Reviews and authorizes work permits.
Where will you work: Onsite at Carlsbad, NM (76 Rawhide Rd., Loving, NM 88256)
Schedule: 9/80 schedule (Monday-Friday with every other Friday off, 6am-3pm)
What you’ll do?
- Design training programs: Create tailored training programs that promote continuous learning and development.
- Identify training needs: Assess the needs of employees and recommend programs and activities.
- Deliver training programs: Conduct training programs and provide feedback to participants.
- Evaluate training effectiveness: Measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Ensure compliance: Ensure that training programs comply with company policies and procedures.
- Guide managers and supervisors: Help managers and supervisors develop training skills.
- Maintain records: Keep records of training programs and participants.
- Work with operations and maintenance to assist in the implementation of new safety processes improvements or capital projects.
- Responsible for conducting audits and inspections.
- Reviews and authorizes work permits.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant experience or 2-year technical program with 2 years of experience required. Technical or engineering bachelor’s degree with at least 1 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Step-up, leadership, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Industrial experience, chemical experience, and or supervisory experience is a plus.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Maximo, Pi, OIS, Kronos is a plus.
- Must be an effective leader and have positive influence on hourly work force.
- Strong motivational, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills in a fast- paced environment are required.
