What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at The Moser Group?
Responsibilities
Work Remotely: No.
- Survey buildings and perform preventative, repairs, and inspections as assigned.
- Complete assigned maintenance work on vacant and make-ready apartment units.
- Maintain common areas and building exterior and grounds as needed.
- Complete resident work orders in a timely fashion.
- Up keep on trash cans.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, etc.).
- Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records of all tasks completed.
- Some Saturday hours if possible.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies as needed.
- At least 1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Some knowledge of general maintenance processes - electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, painting, carpentry.
- Working knowledge of tools, standard appliances, and devices.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs, climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and pushing.
- Emergencies happen - to ensure we are addressing these issues as soon as possible; our Maintenance Technicians must live within 30 minutes of the property.
