Position Summary
As a Housekeeping Houseman, you will support the housekeeping team by ensuring that all common areas are clean and well-maintained, housekeeping closets are stocked & organized, and by assisting with various other housekeeping tasks. Your role is crucial in maintaining the overall cleanliness and efficiency of the hotel.
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and perimeter.
- Assist housekeepers with the cleaning and preparation of guest rooms as needed.
- Restock and distribute linens, towels, and supplies to housekeeping staff.
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Ensure that housekeeping carts and storage areas are clean and organized.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and provide excellent customer service.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift/move heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
