Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic experienced Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, providing exceptional service to our guests while creating a welcoming atmosphere. As a Lead Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the bar area to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and managing tabs.
- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when applicable.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices.
- Assist in training new staff members on bar procedures and customer service standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is required.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, wines, beers, and other beverages; experience with brewing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems for efficient order processing.
- Excellent cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of hospitality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed in a fine dining or catering environment is essential.
