Description
Durham's favorite attraction, the Museum of Life and Science , is seeking a highly motivated and organized Reservations & Operations Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable visitor experience by managing reservations, coordinating operational logistics, and providing excellent customer service.
Position Objective : Support the Museum's mission on the Reservations and Operations teams by maintaining a positive work environment and delivering an exemplary level of service on all functions of the department, and being knowledgeable about Museum programs, events, exhibits, procedures, and products. This position is a split role sharing time between Reservations and in administrative support of Events, Rentals and Guest Operations (The amount of hours per task will fluctuate depending on the season).

- Customer service experience (2 years)
- Project or event experience (1 years)
- Ability to proactively address internal and external guest needs
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively
- Must communicate effectively over email, phone and in person
- Ability to work with diverse, multi-generational audience
- Can prioritize competing tasks with attention to detail
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently
- Must have a pleasant and engaging attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
