For youth ages 14–24 enrolled in the Marion Barry Summer Youth Employment Program (MBSYEP)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Monday through Friday
End Goal: Student collaboration and performance in our culminating summer showcase, Dianne’s Recital
The Drumline Instructor will train students in marching percussion with a focus on HBCU-style performance. Emphasis will be placed on rhythm, coordination, and ensemble dynamics as students develop and perform original cadences for Dianne’s Recital.
- Strong percussion skills (snare, quads, bass, cymbals)
- Experience leading drumline ensembles
- Ability to inspire discipline and creativity in youth
