The Mystic Santa Fe – Santa Fe, NM

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year (based on experience)

The Mystic Santa Fe, a 25-room boutique motel, is looking for a Front Desk Manager to lead our front-of-house operations with warmth, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Position Overview

The Front Desk Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing daily front desk operations, managing the front desk team, and ensuring seamless guest experiences. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position that requires a hands-on leader who is organized, tech-savvy, and deeply committed to customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Experience & Customer Service
  • Set the standard for exceptional service and hospitality.
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Utilize the Akia Communication System to engage with guests via text messaging.
  • Ensure smooth check-ins, check-outs, and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Spanish-speaking is a huge plus! Many of our guests and staff are bilingual, so the ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is highly preferred

Daily Operations & Administration

  • Oversee the WebRezPro Property Management System (PMS) for reservations and room assignments.
  • Manage cash handling, billing, and financial transactions accurately.
  • Ensure the lobby and front desk areas are well-maintained and welcoming.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.

Rate Management

  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to adjust room rates accordingly.
  • Manage Expedia and other third-party booking platforms, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Optimize occupancy and revenue by strategically adjusting pricing based on demand, seasonality, and booked Weddings & other Events.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Train & supervise front desk staff, ensuring they provide outstanding service.
  • Create schedules and manage team performance.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with Restaurant/Bar Manager & Wedding Coordinator on a daily basis.

Technology & Efficiency

  • Utilize WebRezPro PMS and Akia Communication System to streamline operations.
  • Leverage technology to enhance guest experiences and optimize efficiency.
  • Utilize Google Workspace – Including: Docs, Sheets, and Calendars
  • Troubleshoot basic tech issues related to front desk systems.

  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems (experience with WebRezPro and Akia is a plus!).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred!

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in hotel front desk management (boutique or independent hotel experience preferred).
  • Strong customer service background and a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Experience managing a team, including scheduling and training staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in hotel property management systems (WebRezPro experience a plus!).
  • Experience managing Expedia and other OTA (Online Travel Agency) platforms is preferred.
  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new systems (Akia Communication System experience is a plus!).
  • Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekends and some holidays as needed.

Fluency in Spanish is a huge plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
