Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, process, and submit billings for the entire agency while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in following up on past-due accounts and resolving denied payments.
- Manage MaineCare Authorization Imports.
- Research and resolve credit balances as needed.
- Support accounts receivable (A/R) functions, including year-end audits, internal quality assurance reviews, and audits by third-party funding agencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Five or more years of experience in clinical/medical billing and collections is required.
- At least two years of experience with Medicare, MaineCare, and other third-party payers is strongly preferred.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Accounts Receivable financial software required.
