Overview
BROOKLYN, NY(LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - Amazing professional family is seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT TRAVEL NANNY for their 2 children; 3.5 years old and 1.5 years old. The perfect candidate will be open to a fluid schedule with 2 guaranteed days off/week and they guarantee 40 hours/week. The moms are very involved and are seeking an amazing teammate to be part of their active travel lifestyle. The family prefers candidates who are Catalan or Spanish-Seaking (preference, not a requirement).
These moms need a candidate who understands traveling internationally and domestically with high-profile families and is flexible to work nights and weekends and adjust as needed. The family generally has a strong grasp of their schedule, but things may change from week to week, and will give as much notice as possible.
One parent is from Spain and speaks Catalan. Candidates who speak Spanish would be the top priority. The children speak Catalan with the mom and they would like the nanny to be able to communicate and continue the language skills.
The perfect candidate is a strong communicator, bilingual (Catalan or Spanish), flexible with a fluid schedule, comfortable traveling for short and longer periods of time, and a team player. The family visits Spain for some extended stays and would love the nanny to be with them. Candidates should love to travel the world and must have a valid passport for this position.
Duties include caring for the children, packing for the children, helping the children during travel, and planning activities in NY and while they are visiting new locations. The family has a dog in the home who needs minimal to no care. There is no need for the candidate to have a vehicle or drive the children at this time.
All vaccines are required for this role; Tdap, MMR, Covid, Flu. Candidates will have private accommodations in each destination with a daily travel stipend. Benefits include 10 days 5 sick days health insurance stipend negotiable travel stipend. Start date is ASAP. Pay is $35 /hr gross OT, all paid legally via payroll.
Qualifications
- BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
- UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
- THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
- A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
- 5 YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
- EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
- U.S. DRIVER’S LICENSE (THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO NYC RESIDENTS)
