What are the responsibilities and job description for the NATIONWIDE SEARCH: BURLINGTON, VT FAMILY SEEKING A LIVE-IN NANNY! position at The Nanny League, Inc.?
Overview
NATIONWIDE SEARCH: BURLINGTON, VT - A warm and welcoming family located just outside Burlington, Vermont, is seeking a professional, experienced live-in nanny to care for their baby boy, who will be 4.5 months old at the end of June. This is a long-term role beginning before June 21st, 2025 and continuing through May 2026, perfect for a nanny who thrives in a collaborative, respectful household where parents are often working from home and appreciate a teammate who is confident, nurturing, and brings a positive attitude to the home.
The nanny will live in a private, fully furnished apartment and have access to a dedicated nanny vehicle for use during the workday. The family is conducting a nationwide search to find the perfect person who truly enjoys caring for infants and toddlers, as the role will support the child through key developmental stages between 6 months and 2 years of age. This is a transition from their current newborn care specialist, and they are excited to bring on a nanny who is confident in managing routines, engaging in developmental activities, and blending naturally into a home with present, hands-on parents.
The regular schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday, 40–50 hours per week, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM with occasional date nights and weekend support. While the family is flexible and respectful of work-life balance, they would love to find someone who is open to occasional travel, including overnight and 24-hour care when needed. Travel plans may include destinations such as Jamaica in June and Martha’s Vineyard at the end of August. A valid passport and comfort with travel is important. The family has a senior pug who requires minimal care—he’s a couch potato who simply needs to be let out from time to time.
While the family is fully vaccinated, they are flexible on the nanny’s status but do require up-to-date Tdap and MMR vaccinations. The right fit is more important than checking every box—this family values someone warm, grounded, and professional who loves early childhood and is looking for a meaningful, stable role.
The family offers competitive compensation based on experience, ranging between $30–$50/hour gross for the right candidate. Benefits include the private apartment, use of a nanny car, and a discretionary year-end bonus. If you’re a seasoned, confident nanny who is passionate about nurturing infants and toddlers and would enjoy working with an involved family in a beautiful Vermont setting, we’d love to hear from you!
