NATIONWIDE SEARCH - WAKE FOREST, NC -  A warm and engaging family is seeking a FULL-TIME LIVE-OUT LONG-TERM NANNY to join their home and be an active, energetic presence in their children’s daily lives. They have two wonderful kids—a spirited 5-year-old son who thrives on outdoor play, bike rides, and hands-on learning, and a sweet 1.5-year-old daughter who loves music, books, and keeping up with her big brother. The family is looking for a nanny who is excited to explore nature, engage in play-based learning, and keep up with their little adventurers.

This position guarantees a minimum of 35 hours per week, with a typical schedule of 4 days per week. The schedule varies based on the parents' work shifts and is provided 1-3 months in advance. Start times range from 5 AM to 8 AM, and the day always ends at 4 PM when Dad wakes up(works overnight shifts). About 2 weekend days per month, the nanny will be needed for a 5/8 AM - 4 PM shift. There is also a monthly on-call day, with additional compensation, though actual need is rare. Evening shifts are very occasional, but advance notice will always be given.

The family is seeking a flexible, go-with-the-flow nanny who can provide structure while allowing the children to be creative and independent learners. Candidates with an early childhood education or Montessori background are highly preferred. The nanny should be comfortable with both independent care and working alongside involved parents, balancing support while knowing when to step in or step back.

The home backs up to beautiful forest trails, a bike park, and a greenway, making it an ideal environment for an outdoorsy, active nanny who enjoys bike rides, nature walks, and exploration. The family encourages imaginative play, hands-on learning, and outdoor adventures. The 5-year-old is high-energy, athletic, and loves to climb and build, while the 1.5-year-old enjoys being part of the action and keeping up with her big brother.

The nanny must be reliable, nurturing, and adaptable, with the ability to keep up with two young, active children. A valid driver’s license is required for future school drop-offs and occasional outings, and the family is open to providing a nanny vehicle if necessary. Occasional travel with the family is optional for the right candidate.

The family offers competitive pay of $28-$35/hour gross along with potential additional benefits for the perfect candidate: relocation assistance, health insurance, paid vacation, sick days, and paid holidays. Some holiday assistance may be needed, but the family provides a holiday rate and PTO for designated holidays. The family requires a drug test upon hire. The family has a friendly, non-shedding Labradoodle who enjoys playing outside, though pet care is minimal.

• BA/BS COLLEGE DEGREE | AA IN RELATED FIELD OF STUDY | OR A MINIMUM OF 5 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL NANNY EXPERIENCE
• UP TO DATE FIRST-AID & CPR CERTIFICATION (WILLINGNESS TO RENEW AS NEEDED)
• THE ABILITY TO MAKE A ONE-YEAR COMMITMENT UNLESS APPLYING FOR A TEMPORARY POSITION
• A PASSION FOR WORKING WITH CHILDREN
• 5 YEARS OF CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE IN ANY FIELD
• EXCELLENT WORK AND PERSONAL REFERENCES
