What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brentwood Family Seeking Second Nanny position at The Nanny Matchmaker?
THE FAMILY | A Brentwood family is seeking an experienced second nanny to join their household team and help care for their four young children, all under six. They are looking for someone who brings professionalism and warmth to their work and has a proven track record of caring for multiple children in a private home setting.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently while collaborating seamlessly with the mom and the current nanny to ensure the children receive consistent, attentive care. The family values long-term relationships and hopes to find someone eager to become a trusted part of this family's daily life and witness their children's growth and development over the years.
THE CHILDREN | The children are 6, 4, 3, and 8 months old. Starting in August, the three older kids will be in school full and part-time. The younger ones have a noon pick-up, and the older one has a 2 PM pick-up.
THE JOB DETAILS |
- Provide daily care and supervision for four children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development, working alongside nanny.
- Follow guidance from mom and nanny on activities the children like and plan and accompany children and current nanny on age-appropriate outings. Parents work from home, so love for the kids and nannies are out of the house when possible.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children. A love for cooking is a plus.
- Assist with light housekeeping related to the children, e.g., tidying up after meals and playtime, laundry, and organizing children’s belongings. The family has a daily housekeeper who does not help with childcare chores.
- Ensure school drop-offs/pick-ups, nap times, and other daily routines are followed.
- Provide age-appropriate emotional support and comfort to the children as needed.
- Manage diaper changes and potty training for the infant when she’s ready, and help with other developmental milestones for all children, including homework help when needed.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE | Loves working with families with young children and is comfortable working alongside another nanny or the mom. They can be energetic with the kids and have a calming presence around the parents.
Looking for a long-term commitment with the family. A minimum of one year, ideally longer. Flexible and adaptable to this family’s daily and travel needs.
THE REQUIREMENTS |
- Minimum of three years of professional nanny experience or equivalent childcare experience.
- Prior experience caring for children under 6 years old, including infants.
- Excellent communication skills with an energetic and team player attitude. Candidate must have a strong command of English, both written and verbal.
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation (if needed for outings). Nanny vehicle is provided.
- Ability to provide references and background checks.
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Fully vaccinated to work with young children - Tdap, MMR, flu.
- TrustLine Registered
- Clear background screening.
- Lives locally.
