A family in Montvale, NJ is looking for an after school Nanny/Family Assistant, for their two children, ages 7 and 8 years old. The schedule will be Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Duties:
Picking the children up after school. Transporting them to and from activities (school, camp, sports, ect.). Helping keep the children organized. Assisting the children with homework as needed. Preparing basic meals such as grilled cheese and snacks. Nanny will have a couple of hours prior to school pick up to do household duties, such as, doing the children’s laundry and tidying up after them.

Ideal nanny:
The ideal nanny for this family will be vigilant when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of the children. Looking for someone who will provide structure in the afternoon hours after school. Someone who is Spanish speaking is a plus but not required. This family would love someone who is super creative, hands on with the children, nurturing, and very kind.

About the children:
This 8-year-old is engaging, smart, and persistent. She loves reading but finds math a bit challenging. This 7-year-old is detail oriented, warm, and playful. He seeks sensory thorough stimming and is sensitive to loud noises. He loves reading as well as sports and anything Pokémon. Math can be a challenge at times. Both children enjoy a range of activities outside of school, and are each other's best friend. They are very articulate and communicative for their age. They love baking and imaginative play. This brother and sister duo are very affectionate and protective of each other.

About the parents:
Mom is proactive, straight forward, structured, and has a good sense of humor. Dad is easy going, reasonable, and would love someone who is passionate about this position. These loving parents have a history of working well with childcare providers. When the children display unwanted behaviors, they talk to them and remind them of the consequences should the behavior continue. They are looking to minimize electronics (computer, TV, etc.) in the home. All family members are vaccinated for Covid-19.
