The Nantucket TAP ROOM at the historic Jared Coffin House on Nantucket Island is seeking a reliable, team orientated, polished, professional, communicative, charismatic and energetic Front of House Assistant Manager for the 2025 season (Mid May – Columbus Day ).
With arguably the largest outdoor patios on the island, The Nantucket Tap Room is located in one of the oldest and most historic inns on the island, in the heart of downtown.
To be considered for this position, candidates will preferably have:
~Experience working in a high-volume restaurant atmosphere (at least 2 years)
~Superior communication and organizational skills
~Strong belief in working as a team
~Interest in and strong knowledge of food and beverage
~Management experience is preferred but other restaurant professionals encouraged to apply if interested – great position for servers or bartenders looking for a change and have a steady, guaranteed income in a fun, fast paced environment.
Full time position preferred, but very willing to compromise and negotiate – shifts will vary between DAYTIME (10am-5pm) AND NIGHTS (4pm – Close).

Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food service and customer satisfaction.
- Train and manage staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Implement effective inventory control and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations while managing kitchen operations.
- Communicate effectively with both front of house and back of house team members, as well as guests to enhance the dining experience.
