Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes within our Cylinder Division in order to ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our products and processes, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management system
- Develop, maintain, and revise procedures, work instructions and forms as needed
- Maintains documentation related to quality system
- Monitors and completes analysis of company objectives
- Leads or assists with projects related to quality improvement initiatives to achieve project goals
- Oversee quality inspection processes to ensure products meet established specifications
- Analyze data from quality inspections and audits to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement
- Supervise and oversee tasks of QC Inspectors
- Oversees and manages Quality related product issues as they arise within production
- Issue Non-Conformances/CAR's - Internal and External when applicable
- Must have knowledge to accurately complete ISIRS/PPAP's
- Establishes and maintains regulatory documents when required and assists in UL/NSF audits
- Responsible for addressing customer complaints and other warranty related issues
- Communicate with customers and/or suppliers as needed by phone or email
- Issues RMA's/Manages the RMA system (Return Material Authorization) and assists with returned product evaluations
- Manages, maintains and calibrates inspection and measuring equipment/devices and purchases new equipment/devices when needed
- Assists with receiving inspection, inspecting parts, and final inspection when necessary
- Prepare reports on quality metrics for senior management review
- Performs any other tasks requested
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager role or similar position within a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in reading product/blue prints
- Proficient in using inspection measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Utilizes basic computer applications such as excel, word, outlook, etc.
- Knowledge with Infor software a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve organizational goals
