Job Summary
Nassau is seeking an enthusiastic marketing generalist to join our team and contribute creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies across web, email, print video and social media platforms. You will collaborate with our marketing and design production teams in all stages of campaign development. You will also gain an understanding of the financial services and insurance sector’s products and target audiences. This is a unique opportunity to join a small team responsible for marketing products and the Nassau brand to distribution partners and consumers in a fast-paced environment.
A successful candidate will demonstrate hands-on knowledge of marketing automation, analytics, social media and brand activation strategies, as well as have curiosity and interest to support a wide breadth of other digital marketing focuses.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the planning and strategy of digital and print communications campaigns
- Help create, deliver, edit, and optimize marketing materials, advertisements and website content
- Coordinate and organize email campaigns and measure the performance of marketing automation strategies
- Develop print, digital and video content for Nassau’s products and sales programs
- Understand audience segments and improve engagement results by making recommendations for personalization and A/B testing
- Review traffic analytics, user behavior and other metrics to measure reach and campaign effectiveness
- Collaborate with video and podcast production teams
- Maintain and update databases and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
- Support Nassau’s agent micro recognition program
- Create recommendations for trade show booth installments and other agent engagement strategies
- Review outgoing communication pieces for completeness and accuracy of project
- Ensure all messages are supportive of and consistent with brand
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in field of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or other general business major preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience with marketing project management for a company/brand
- Hands-on experience with creating ad copy and design using tools like Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Email marketing experience (MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
- Knowledge of social media and paid digital and print advertising strategies
- Experience with marketing analytics tools like Google Analytics
- An interest of experience in video creation and editing (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere) a plus
- Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices
- Strong creative, innovative, and interpersonal skills
- Solid verbal and written communications
- Comfortable leveraging technology
- An understanding of annuity or insurance products a plus, but not required
- Must be data-driven, detail-oriented and result-focused
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task several projects at once
- Must be able to work well within a team, across departments and have experience working with vendors
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks when needed and hit deadlines in a fast-paced work environment

The base salary for this position falls within Nassau’s salary band D: $60,000-$75,000 depending upon experience.
