Position Overview:
The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) is seeking a highly motivated, organized and versatile Associate, Brand Strategy to support the day-to-day operations of the Brand Strategy division.
This role has two primary responsibilities:
Coordination & Organizational Support: Ensure the smooth operation of the Brand Strategy team by managing workflows, organizing assets, tracking projects and providing administrative support to the Managing Vice President of Brand Strategy and the team.
Content & Data Curation: Develop and maintain structured systems for organizing messaging materials, creative assets and performance data to support brand strategy, messaging, and marketing efforts. This includes tracking key metrics, compiling insights, and curating content to enhance team efficiency and execution.
This is a fast-paced role with opportunities to grow quickly while gaining hands-on experience in brand strategy, messaging, digital communications and high-level advocacy engagement. It requires a detail-oriented and proactive problem solver who is comfortable balancing multiple projects, supporting strategic initiatives and learning in real time. Strong research, writing, technical and design skills are essential.
We value in-person collaboration and the sense of community it brings. Therefore, if hired, you will be expected to be in the office at least 4 times per week. Our office is conveniently located in Washington, DC, just steps away from Gallery Place and Metro Center.

Core Responsibilities:
Project Coordination & File Management: Maintain organized digital archives of brand assets, messaging materials, campaign data and creative content. Ensure easy access for internal teams.
Worflow & Deadline Management: Assist the Managing Vice President in overseeing workflows, tracking deadlines and ensuring follow-through on key initiatives.
Administrative & Communication Support: Manage meeting logistics, draft agendas, take notes, and provide communications support to keep the team aligned and efficient. Ensure excellence in email, memos, briefing materials and correspondence for the Managing Vice President and the division.
Data & Metrics Analysis: Data & Metrics Reporting: Track and organize communications performance metrics, developing insights that support branding, marketing and messaging strategies.
Process Improvement: Identify ways to improve team operations and efficiency through data-driven decision-making, new digital tools and organization strategies.
Messaging & Creative Support:
Research & Writing: Support message development by conducting research, drafting and copyediting communications materials, speeches and reports.
Quick-Turn Content Development: Use Canva (or similar tools) to assist in developing social media graphics, internal presentations, and branding materials.
Social Media & Digital Engagement: Assist in managing the Managing Vice President’s social media presence and digital communications.
SQL & Data Insights: Use basic SQL knowledge to extract, analyze and interpret data to brand strategy tools and performance.
Marketing & Digital Strategy Support: Collaborate with teams on campaign execution, email marketing and content optimization.
Competitive Analysis & Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on digital, social, and branding trends, providing insights to enhance NAM's messaging and positioning.
We are looking for Team Players who meet the Following Criteria:
1 years of work experience with a BA in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Political Science, Graphic Design, Data Science, or related fields.
Strong organizational and file management skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent writing, research, editing, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Canva (or similar tools like Adobe Express) to assist with quick-turn content development.
Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok Snapchat) and experience developing engaging content.
Experience working with digital platforms like HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or other marketing automation tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Google Analytics and other digital monitoring tools is a plus.
Basic knowledge of business and American government and a passion for U.S. manufacturing policy and economic growth.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to create visually appealing presentations.
Digital publishing experience is a plus.
Salary Range: $57,000 – $70,000 annually. This salary range represents a good faith estimate of the lowest to the highest salary for this position. The final salary offered will be based on qualifications and experience.
