The teammate is responsible for providing essential functions for the Financial Risk and Analysis department. The Financial Analyst will protect the Bank from market risk related to the Bank’s residential mortgage portfolio. The teammate is responsible for providing essential functions for the Financial Risk and Analysis department. The Financial Analyst will protect the Bank from market risk related to the Bank’s residential mortgage portfolio. Essential Functions
- Responsible for hedging and selling residential mortgage loans
- Monitor mortgage loans and rate locks
- Review and update the Residential Mortgage Hedging Policy, ensuring critical elements are addressed
- Communicate and interact with Mortgage Bankers assisting with rate lock related questions
- Prepare and email daily mortgage rates to designated departments
- Prepare and distribute mortgage reports
- Based on market dynamics and/or trends, assist with pricing for mortgages
- Prepare mortgage accounting entries as needed
- Assist with preparing the allowance for credit losses analysis and memo
- Assist with the Bank’s budget process
- Use S&P Global database to generate routine and ad hoc reports
- Provide backup to department staff as needed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with an emphasis on Excel
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data, formulate conclusions, and prepare/present related reports
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and make well-reasoned assumptions
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey financial information in commonly understood terms
- Excellent interpersonal skills, exhibiting a high degree of professionalism
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects, organizing and prioritizing tasks as appropriate
- Ability to work independently, follow through and meet deadlines
