We are seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon | Orthopedist to join our medical practice full time in Camp Springs, MD. Ideally, we are looking for a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon or non-surgical orthopedist, trained in general orthopedics, to join a vertically integrated musculoskeletal practice specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle accidents and work-related injuries.
Additional specialties within the practice include neurology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, internal medicine, primary care, and chiropractic|physical therapy. In-house services include physical therapy and chiropractic, (including aquatic therapy with land-based strengthening, work conditioning and work hardening, vestibular and cognitive therapy, and Functional Capacity Evaluations), electrodiagnostic, interventional pain management, and x-rays.
The paramount component of the administrative portion of the job duties is providing timely and accurate documentation|reports of the patient visits. Surgical services can be provided at local outpatient surgery centers or hospitals. We will consider an operative and non-operative Orthopedist. We have multiple locations where the Orthopedist will provide coverage including our offices in southern Maryland including Camp Springs, Waldorf, and Hyattsville as well as our office in Alexandria, VA.
Job Duties :
- Quality Patient care and management
- Recommend tests and conduct diagnostic testing to determine extent of injury and appropriate treatment.
- Oversee the patient’s diagnosis and treatment of occupational or motor vehicle injuries.
- Prepare patients for return to work after illness or injury.
- Perform surgery when medically necessary (if an Operative Orthopedic Surgeon)
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation and reports for personal injury patients.
- Occasionally provide expert testimony on behalf of patients treated in case of litigation.
- Collaborate with colleagues and staff for comprehensive patient care.
- Uphold the company’s mission to provide exceptional patient care.
