POSITION SUMMARY: The National Conference Center is looking for on-call employees to welcome guests and staff in an effective and courteous manner, deliver luggage, messages, laundry, and other small items. Provides guest services at the conference center so each guest and staff member experiences a positive impression of the facility. Deals with any conference center guests and employees who require or request bellstaff services. Empowered to make decisions that have a positive effect on the guests’ experience.
ESSENTIAL TASKS:
• Greet guests upon arrival at the front door.
• Provides luggage handling services for guests arriving and departing.
• Provide assistance with way finding throughout the facility.
• Utilizes the radio/paging internal communication system used throughout the facility.
• Delivers FAX and messages as required by group or guest.
• Keep a log of deliveries.
• Maintain list of frequently called telephone numbers, i.e., taxis, tours.
• Active departmental participation in training programs as directed by the Front Desk Manager.
• Check on quantities of transportation necessities i.e., vouchers, luggage tags, brochures, and report that information to the Front Desk Manager.
• Assists guests with questions and needs such as: Travel arrangements, information regarding local eateries and site-seeing locations, and hours of operation.
• Follows The National Conference Center policies and procedures and safety policies.
• May be required to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager or supervisor on duty.
