What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Agent position at THE NATIONAL EXCHANGE HOTEL?
The National Exchange Hotel is currently looking for an extraordinary front desk agent. The customer service oriented agent is responsible for insuring 100% satisfaction from the moment a guest arrives at the hotel until they check out by performing the following duties.

Check guests into and out of the hotel.

Inform guests about hotel facilities/services.

Fulfill the guest’s requests during their stay.

Answers telephone, forwards call to appropriate department or guest, and receives and delivers phone messages to appropriate department or guest.

Takes reservations calls as needed.
*
*
Post charges and handle cash and credit card transactions.
*
*
Maintain balance of cash bank.
*
*
Manage and resolve all guest complaints (and compliments) in a professional and courteous manner.
*

Ensure that the front desk and back office is clean and well organized.
*
*
Initiate and monitor shift checklists for proper completion of tasks.
*
*
Provide effective communication to all departments of guest activity.
*
*
Effectively coordinate relocation of guests when necessary.
*
*
Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
*
*
Answers inquiries pertaining to hotel service: shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
*
*
Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts.
*
*
Computes bill, collects payment, and makes change for guests.
*
*
Posts charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone, to ledger.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
