Summary
The NFL Media Group is seeking a News Assistant who will assist the Assignment Desk in all phases of the newsgathering process for both on-air and digital content.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others in a fast-paced newsroom environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily assignments
- Strong football knowledge and awareness of NFL events and stories, ability to quickly identify players and coaches.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills both verbally and written
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure situations
- Familiar with utilizing social media as a source of breaking news
- Able to book feeds and file transfer
- Must be flexible with work schedule including weekends and overnight shifts
- This is not a supervisor position but candidate must but be able to work with other departments as well as crews in the field. At times will be the leader in the newsroom.
