What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Strategy & Growth position at The National Football League?
The NFL Media Group is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Strategy and Growth to lead its domestic direct-to-consumer (DTC) business. This new leadership role will be responsible for setting the strategic vision, driving business growth, developing product strategy, and managing the end-to-end P&L. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business growth in the digital space. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of NFL Media' DTC offering, working closely with senior leadership and key partners across the League to develop and implement strategies to achieve ambitious growth expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Vision & Roadmap Development - develop the long-term strategic vision and partner with key stakeholders to shape and refine a multi-year DTC product roadmap, ensuring that our individual platform strategies are aligned with business objectives and fan needs
- Drive Subscriber & Revenue Growth - lead team to identify, prioritize, and execute strategies that drive subscriber and revenue growth
- User Acquisition & Engagement - collaborate across multiple teams (including Marketing, Product, and Content) to develop and execute high-impact strategies for user acquisition and engagement.
- Data-Driven Decision Making - utilize advanced analytics and reporting to inform business strategies and decision-making. Lead the development and implementation of a data-driven culture across the team to drive insights and optimize performance
- P&L Management - own full P&L accountability for DTC business unit, optimizing for strategic value, revenue growth, and operating margin; optimize resource allocation and budget management to maximize ROI, APV, and LTV.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - partner with cross-functional teams across Product, Technology, Content, Marketing, and other departments to ensure cohesive DTC strategy alignment and effective end-to-end execution
- Executive Communication - author and shape high-impact communication to ownership, C-suite executives, and senior leadership on a regular basis
- Team Management - lead and inspire a team of internal and external experts dedicated to product growth and excellence; provide mentorship, strategic direction, and support to ensure the team achieves its objectives and contributes to the overall success of the organization
