Job Description

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in NREL's Catalytic Carbon Transformation and Scale-up Center involving the design of innovative approaches for high-throughput catalyst design, synthesis, characterization, and evaluation. The researcher will apply state-of-the-art continuous fluidic approaches and instrument interface and control algorithms in support of multi-investigator, interdisciplinary projects focused on the development of smart autonomous lab development and catalyst design for the conversion of renewable and waste carbon sources (e.g, biogas, biomass, plastics, CO2) into fuels, chemicals, and materials. The specific scope of projects will be determined based on candidate skills and interests. The initial appointment is for one year, with possible renewal up to three years.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a recent PhD graduate within the last three years.

• Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.

Required Education and Experience : Doctoral degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science granted within the last three years

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Job Profile : Postdoctoral Researcher / Annual Salary Range : $74,900 - $123,600
